Frequently asked questions
How do I back up my Asana workspace?
Sign in with Asana, choose the workspace to archive and enter the details of your S3 bucket. photocopi.es then exports every task to PDF and keeps your archive up to date every hour, with no further action needed — set it and forget it.
What exactly gets archived?
photocopi.es downloads the task title, description and activity, including comments and file attachments, and saves them in PDF format.
Other views of the data, such as project lists, board views, calendars and messages, are not archived. Here is an example of an archived task.
Which tasks are archived?
photocopi.es finds tasks by going through the projects in your workspace, using the Asana account you sign in with. It archives the tasks in every project that account can see, along with their subtasks.
Tasks that are not in any project, and projects that account cannot see, are not archived. To include them, add the tasks to a project, or sign in with an account that is a member of those projects.
Is my data secure?
All archives are processed securely, using encrypted transfers, and are never stored on our servers. This service is provided using an ISO 27001-certified data center in Europe. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit.
We follow strict data handling practices to ensure full privacy and compliance. photocopi.es is GDPR and CCPA compliant. You have the right to delete your data at all times, and we do not sell your data.
You control where your data is stored and the retention period by adjusting the settings of your S3 bucket.
Do I need an Amazon S3 bucket?
The Solo and Team plans archive continuously to Amazon S3 or any other S3-compatible storage. If you only need a single archive, the One-off plan delivers your PDFs by email within 24 hours, with no bucket required.
Can I restore an Asana workspace using this tool?
No. photocopi.es archives your data in PDF format for long-term preservation. Asana currently does not allow restoring data.
